I believe awareness is the beginning of every meaningful change. My approach blends evidence-based methods like CBT, EFT, ACT, and play therapy with something a little less clinical: genuine curiosity about who you are underneath the patterns you've learned to survive with.
I'm also a mom of two, a forever student of growth, and someone who believes nature has a way of grounding us back to what matters. I don't sugarcoat things, and I don't offer quick fixes. I offer honesty, depth, and a relationship you can actually trust.
My approach blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and for younger clients, Child-Centered Play Therapy. These aren't just clinical frameworks, they're tools I use to help you understand the connection between your thoughts, your emotions, your behaviors, and the relationships that shape all of it.
I am attachment-focused, which means I believe that the way we learned to connect with others early in life shows up everywhere, in how we communicate, how we handle conflict, how we see ourselves. We look at those roots together, not to place blame, but to finally make sense of things.
Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected doesn't mean something is wrong with you. It means you've been carrying too much without the right support. Therapy is a space to finally slow down, get honest, and start understanding the patterns that have kept you feeling this way. Together we'll get to the root of it.
Most therapy stops at the symptom. I don't.
When you come to Iris & Vine, we're not here to hand you a list of coping skills and call it progress. We're here to understand what's actually driving the overwhelm, the patterns, the disconnection, and the moments where you feel like you can't get out of your own way.
You can't change what you haven't truly seen yet.
What you won't find here is judgment, quick fixes, or a therapist who keeps things surface level to keep things comfortable. I'll be honest with you. I'll call it when I see old patterns creeping back in. And I'll always be in your corner while I do it.
This is collaborative, honest, and deeply human work. And it starts with you feeling safe enough to be real.
“Kayelyn is highly skilled and builds strong, authentic connections with her clients. Her approach blends warmth with directness, guided by intuition and genuine care. Kayelyn's insight has strengthened my own clinical work and I confidently recommend her!“
"I’ve had the privilege of working alongside Kayelyn for four years, and during that time I’ve witnessed her exceptional ability to see beyond surface behaviors and understand the deeper dynamics within a child and family system. She helps families identify the root causes of a child’s struggles while empowering parents to become an active part of the healing process. Her clinical wisdom and compassion makes her a great therapist."
